Together, we have a long and successful local history; with over 140 years’ experience between us and provide a service for around 7,000 local residents and resolve over 35,000 issues every year.

Due to our merger, new projects, and the increase in demand for the services we provide, we are facing an exciting period of opportunity and growth and are therefore looking for passionate people to join us, helping in our bid to support local residents through the fantastic services Citizens Advice East Berkshire provide.

We are recruiting for an experienced customer service adviser, call handler, or someone holding relevant transferrable skills with a background in either Debt, Benefits, Housing or Employment who would be confident delivering advice to service users across all of our services as required.

To undertake this key role, you will be required to undertake and complete an intensive Citizens Advice training programme. This is likely to take around 4 weeks, after which time you will you will have the knowledge and skills needed to support our various clients. You will have strong attention to detail, be approachable and friendly and have the flexibility and resilience to deal with challenges that this role may present.

We are looking to fill a full-time position but would consider part-time hours for the right candidate.

Your salary will begin at £11 per hour, rising to £12 per hour once training is complete.

This role will be for up to an initial 12-month contract with the potential to be extended, and will have the option to be remote, or hybrid working.
