Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Citizens Advice East Berkshire is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Advice Services Supervisor. In this pivotal position, you’ll lead our advice service, providing essential guidance and support to our team of advisers and caseworkers, ensuring individuals receive the assistance they need.

Role Overview: As the Advice Services Supervisor, you will oversee advice sessions across our offices in Bracknell, Maidenhead, and Slough, offering invaluable support to our team. Your responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating the quality of advice given, conducting case checks, and ensuring compliance with national standards. Collaboration with professional and voluntary sector partners is vital, as is your commitment to supporting individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health issues.

Key Details:

  • Salary: Up to £28,350 pro-rata, dependent on experience
  • Hours: 12 hours per week (alternative hours considered)
  • Contract Term: Permanent
  • Location: Hybrid, but primarily office based

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise advice sessions and provide support to advisers and caseworkers.
  • Monitor advice quality and offer timely feedback.
  • Conduct case checks and oversee corrective actions.
  • Ensure positive outcomes for clients, including financial gains and improved well-being.
  • Assist in promoting and enhancing our service.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of teamwork.
  • Engage in research and campaign initiatives.

Person Specification: We’re looking for someone with:

  • Compassion and drive to offer high-quality advice.
  • Experience in delivering advice and casework.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Dedication to achieving optimal client outcomes.
  • Proficient organisational and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and IT proficiency.
  • Commitment to our values and principles.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
