CAEB winter appeal 2025

Help keep hope warm this winter

Across Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead, and Bracknell Forest, more people than ever are turning to us in crisis. Rising living costs, mounting debt, housing pressures and delayed benefits mean that winter is now the most difficult time of year for many local residents.

Every day, our advisers support people who are frightened, overwhelmed or unsure where to turn. From families facing eviction, to older people struggling to heat their homes, to workers coping with sudden loss of income — we help people find a way forward.

Although we work closely with local councils, Citizens Advice East Berkshire is an independent charity and we rely on community support to keep our free advice open to everyone who needs it.

Last year, we:

  • Helped 6,600 people across East Berkshire
  • Resolved 40,000 issues
  • Secured £8.28 million in financial outcomes for local people
  • Achieved nearly £17 in community benefit for every £1 invested

But demand is rising, and our services are stretched. This Christmas, a small donation can make a real difference to someone in your community who has nowhere else to turn.

Your support helps us:

  • Keep our advice free and accessible
  • Support people facing housing crises
  • Assist residents with debt and cost-of-living pressures
  • Train and supervise our volunteer advisers
  • Deliver outreach in foodbanks, GP surgeries and community centres

If you’re able to help, please make a donation today. Together, we can help more people across East Berkshire stay safe, supported and hopeful this winter.
