Serving the people of Bracknell, Slough and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead last year we supported over 6,000 people securing £8.2 million of financial benefit. We know more people want our help and we are ambitious to meet further demand.

Join Our Team as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer
Citizens Advice East Berkshire is looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Fundraising & Partnerships Officer to help grow community support, strengthen local partnerships and increase unrestricted income.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious local charity at a time of growth and development. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and our existing grants fundraiser, you will play an important role in helping us diversify our income, expand our supporter base and build stronger relationships across the communities we serve.
We support thousands of local people every year with issues including debt, housing, benefits, employment, energy and the cost of living. The support you provide will help ensure that local people can continue to access free, independent and confidential advice when they need it most.
Key Details:
- Salary: Circa £30,000 FTE (£18,000–£21,000 actual salary depending on agreed hours and experience)
- Hours: Part Time 22.5 – 26.25 hours per week (0.6 – 0.7FTE)
- Contract term: Permanent (subject to funding)
- Location: Hybrid working – Bracknell and Maidenhead offices (with some travel across Bracknell, Slough and Windsor & Maidenhead as required). Some home-working by agreement with line manager.

About the role
This newly created role is designed to strengthen Citizens Advice East Berkshire’s fundraising capacity and support the delivery of our Business Plan.
You will help launch, develop and grow our Friends of CAEB scheme, increase community fundraising activity, build relationships with local businesses and supporters, and develop engaging communications that encourage people to support our work.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, supporting events and helping a charity increase its impact within local communities.
Key responsibilities
• Support the development and delivery of community fundraising activity across East Berkshire.
• Recruit, support and steward individuals, groups and organisations wishing to raise funds for Citizens Advice East Berkshire.
• Lead the day-to-day development of the Friends of CAEB supporter scheme.
• Help recruit, retain and engage supporters through regular communications and activities.
• Identify and develop relationships with local businesses and corporate supporters.
• Seek opportunities for sponsorship, donations, fundraising partnerships and gifts in kind.
• Develop engaging content for fundraising campaigns, newsletters, website updates and social media.
• Attend community events, networking opportunities and fundraising activities to help raise awareness of Citizens Advice East Berkshire.
• Research and identify new fundraising and partnership opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity, supporter engagement and fundraising outcomes.
• Work with colleagues to gather impact stories, case studies and service data to demonstrate the difference our work makes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising, individual giving or supporter development.
• Experience of building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, supporters, volunteers, customers or partners.
• Experience of organising projects, campaigns, events or engagement activities.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce engaging and persuasive content.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence working independently, using initiative and identifying opportunities.
• Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• A commitment to the aims, values and principles of the Citizens Advice service.
Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from people with transferable skills from other sectors.
